Zhang Fujin was born in Changchun City in 1946. He graduated from Air Force Medical University in 1969. He attended in an advanced study in the fifth People’s Hospital of Dalian (General Surgery) and Jilin Provincial Hospital (Department of Cardiology) for 1 year, respectively. He attended in an advanced study in Changchun People's Hospital (Electrical Diagnosis Department) and Dalian hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for half a year, respectively. He had participated in 1st national rehabilitation physical therapy class, 1st physician training class sponsored by Shen Yang military command and 1st preparatory English class for overseas military personnel sponsored by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) University of Foreign Languages for 1 year, respectively. He also attended the oral English class of Beijing Normal University for half a year. He was sent to Zambia by China PLA General Political Department as an expert of military doctors’ group from 1991 to 1993, where he worked in the MANASOKO hospital for 2 years.
He had served as an executive member of the Military Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Committee for many years. He was the member of the Army Proposition Committee. He was the member of Medical Science and Technology Committee of Shenyang Military Region. He was the director of Rehabilitation Professional Committee of Shenyang Military Region. He was director of evaluation committee of medical science and technology achievements of Shenyang Military Region. He was Director of the Rehabilitation physiotherapy department of Dalian sanatorium of Shenyang Military Region. He was chief physician of the PLA rehabilitation medical center. He once served as the editorial board member of English Department of the Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine. He was the editorial board member of Shenyang Army Medical Committee. He was the executive board member of the Journal of Medical Progress and the Journal of Electronic Medicine and Health.
After graduation, he had been engaged in clinical work in Internal Medicine and Surgery, with a solid medical foundation and rich clinical experience. Since 1979, he had been engaged in rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and convalescence. He had rich clinical experience and could skillfully use natural and artificial physical factors to treat diseases. He actively carried out scientific research on rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and convalescence. He had edited and co-edited eight books including "Rehabilitation Medical Engineering", "Physiotherapy", and "Rehabilitation Dictionary". He had published more than 80 papers in the Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Chinese Journal of Physical Therapy, Chinese Journal of Convalescent Medicine and Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine, etc. He published more than 130 papers in English and Japanese in International Journal of physical medicine and rehabilitation. He had won seven times discipline progress awards in the army and Liaoning Province. He won four times military third-class merit awards.
