[Abstract] Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of micro-current electronic acupoint stimulation on patients with Parkinson's disease. METHODS: Seventy-seven hospitalized Parkinsonian patients were studied, 57 of whom had been treated with other therapies and had not improved. In the study, the new therapy was used for 90 days. The acupuncture points were stimulated by current every day. The therapist guided self-operation to stimulate the soles of the feet and related acupuncture points of the body. At the same time, the therapist introduced micro-current into the acupuncture points of the head through massage. The improved Webster symptom rating scale was used to compare the scores of 10 motor symptoms before and after, and the therapeutic effect was calculated. Results: The results showed that 35 people (45.45) had a total score of ≥ 50% improvement in 10 items, 19 people (24.68) had a 30-50% improvement, and only 14 people (18.18) had an improvement of ≤ 30%. The symptoms of Parkinson's disease were significantly improved after treatment. Conclusion: The study shows that the micro current electronic acupoint stimulation therapy can effectively improve the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, which is worthy of clinical promotion and further research.
