Diabetes mellitus type II

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by persistently elevated blood glucose levels. According to the etiology and clinical characteristics, diabetes can be divided into three types: type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is caused by insufficient insulin secretion, while type 2 diabetes is caused by a combination of insulin resistance and insufficient insulin secretion. Gestational diabetes refers to diabetes that occurs during pregnancy.
